Our Story
Where It All Began (1936)
Grant Insurance was founded in 1936 by Lester Grant, who started the agency out of his farmhouse in Continental, Ohio.
In those early days, Lester served neighbors, farmers, and local families, often working directly from the kitchen table. His approach was simple:
Take care of people first, and the business will follow.
That philosophy still defines Grant Insurance today.
Building a Local Presence
As the agency grew, Gary Grant carried that vision forward by expanding operations and opening a dedicated office in Continental.
Under Gary’s leadership, the agency:

In the 1980s, David Grant took the next major step by opening the Defiance office.
